Data use agreement
Version 1.0, for the restricted author-label dataset. Provider: [YOUR NAME OR ORGANISATION], [CONTACT EMAIL].
The author-label dataset records how researchers judged papers that Radar flagged for their own unpublished work. It contains no abstracts, project titles or keywords. Project identifiers are pseudonyms that change with every release, labels are released only after an embargo, and small groups are left out or generalised. People's privacy still depends on how the data is used, so access comes with these terms. By requesting access you agree to them on behalf of yourself and anyone working with you on the data.
You agree to
- Use the data for research or teaching, for the purpose you described in your request. Ask again before using it for a substantially different purpose.
- Not try to identify any person, project or unpublished work, whether by linking the data with other sources, by matching papers and dates to authors, or by any other means. If you come across such an identification by accident, stop, do not record or share it, and tell us.
- Not redistribute the row-level data or give access to anyone outside your research team. Aggregated results, statistics, figures, models trained on the data and the code you write may be shared and published freely.
- Keep the data secure: on systems with access control, and not in public repositories or shared folders.
- Cite the dataset in any publication or presentation that uses it, giving the release version.
- Delete the data when your project ends, when your access ends, or when we ask you to because a release had to be corrected.
- Tell us about any problem you find in the data that could affect the people in it.
We agree to
- Release only data from users who kept research sharing switched on, and never from projects they left out.
- Keep abstracts, project titles and keywords out of every release.
- Answer requests and questions about the data at [CONTACT EMAIL].
Ending access
Download links last 90 days. We may end access if these terms are broken, and will tell you why. Sections 2, 3 and 6 continue to apply to any copy you hold.
This agreement is offered as is and does not replace any rules of your own institution.
